Jannat 2

Jannat 2 (translation: Heaven 2) is an Indian 2012 Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Kunal Deshmukh and distributed by Fox Star Studios. Produced by brothers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt on a budget of ₹200 million (US$2.6 million), it is a sequel to the 2008 successful film Jannat. Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Randeep Hooda are featured in lead roles. Set in New Delhi, the story of the film is about the issues of illegal arms in the city. It was theatrically released on 4 May 2012 with mixed reviews from critics. The film's final worldwide gross reached to ₹799 million (US$10 million). Jannat 2 marked Gupta's film debut and did extremely well at the box office. It was termed a Hit by Box Office India. The film netted ₹449.6 million (US$5.9 million) domestically. Gupta was nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her performance.
