Meera Achrekar is a cricket fanatic first and secondly the maths teacher. She's happy and single and quite a hit with her students because of her love for the game. Mahesh is her brother and the one who introduced her to the thrills of Wankhede Stadium. He used to play for Ranji Trophy but their financial status did not allow him to pursue the game for a career. Meera's family is worried about her single status until she meets Dr Arjun. They fall in love and Meera, at long last, is able to believe that there is more to life besides cricket.
